On the occasion of Lodge Robert Burns first visitation to Lodge Robert King Stewart No.919 and on this occasion becoming the first visiting Lodge to confer the 1st or E.A.Degree on one of Lodge R.K.S. candidates.Also on this occasion Bro Walter F. Houston R.W.M. received Honorary Membership of Lodge Robert King Stewart and thanked the R.W.M. and Brethren for this great honour.Pictured with R.W.M. Bro Walter F. On 20th March 2011 we visited Lodge Regal 1442 to carry out an exemplification of the 1st or E.A. Degeree.
Bro. Walter Houston RWM with the RWM of 1422 Bro Jim Gold and Walter with Bro Jim Gold Snr PM Secretary, Bro Jim Gold RWM and Bro Jonathon Gold BB who stood in as candidate on the evening.
An exellent degree was followed up by a thoroughly enjoyable evening in the company of the brethern of Lodge Regal 1422.......the Deputation led by RWM Bro Walter Houston, numbered 20 Brethern.
Walter with Alex Millar RWM Heatheryknowe 1461 and the Right Worshipful District Grand Master from the District Grand Lodge of New Zealand North Bro Campbell MacFarlane PM.......19 brethern accompanied the RWM on this visit to Heatheryknowe where the Gavel was passed to the RW Mark Master Bro Arthur Burns PM to confer the Mark Master Degree on 5 of Heatheryknowes candidates......an enjoyable evening was had by all who attended.
On Saturday 8th January 2011 Our IPM Bro. Iain Edgar had much pleasure in visiting Erskine Hospital.
Iain met with Mr Peter Macfarlane fund raising officer and during their meeting Iain presented Mr Macfarlane with a cheque for £4400 on behalf of the Lodge.
Mr Macfarlane expressed his delight on receiving this donation and thanked all involved in the fund raising events over the last year.
In a recent email, Mr MacFarlane wrote:
" On behalf of all the residents at Erskine I’d like to thank you and all the Lodge members for your fund raising efforts and thinking of Erskine. We wouldn’t be able to function without donations such as yours – it’s as plain and simple as that – so thank you! "
On 17th October 2010 we held out annual Divine Service.
The Divine Service followed a maritime theme and was carried out in an excellent manne as usual by the Rev. Peter O' Price, Provincial Grand Chaplain.
Readings were performed by our own RWM Bro. Iain A. Edgar and Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Bro James L. Jack.
The service was well attended from Brethern of the lodge and their families, and catering was supplied in abundance by the ladies of the Lodge.
A donation was made from Lodge Robert Burns to Provincial Grand Lodge as is customary.
On 24th June 2010 we held our annual Instruction Class Social.
As always a fantastic time was had by all. Special thanks go to David Ross and his Daughter for the food and service, and of course to Douglas Welsh and George Martin for continuing to lead the Instruction Class.
