Senior Citizens 2010

On the 8th February 2010 we held our annual Senior Citizens night.

The night was a great success despite slightly lower numbers than last year with everyone enjoying their meal, drinks and entertainment that followed.

Thanks has to be made to everyone who helped on the night, particularly the ladies who helped with the meal, the drivers and not forgetting the Office Bearers who assumed the role of waiters for the night.

Many prizes were donated and given away in the raffle with Bro. Welsh and R.W.M. Bro. Iain Edgar doing a sterling job.

Photos of the night can be seen by visiting our gallery here.

Bro. William Perry P.M. Receives Honorary Grand Rank.

On Thursday 14th January 2010 our RWM Bro. Iain Edgar had great delight in welcoming a deputation from PGL headed by RWPGM James L. Jack into Lodge Robert Burns.
Bro. Jack announced his pleasure at being present at the Grand Lodge of Scotland when the Grand Master Mason announced that Bro William A. Perry P.M. Lodge Robert Burns was granted the rank of Honorary Grand Junior Deacon. Bro. Jack highly praised Bro. Perry on his dedication to Freemasonry in general and Lodge Robert Burns in particular.
Bro. Perry was then presented to the Lodge, RWPGM Bro. James L. Jack then asked the Lodge Jeweller Bro. David Aitchison (Bill’s son in law) to present his Jewel.
This was a night of great pride, not only for Bill but for all the members of Lodge Robert Burns who are delighted that Bill’s services to the craft have been recognised in this way.
